Undergraduate teaching at Yale
I served as a teaching assistant (TA) for Principles of Biophysics (MB&B 302) in 2016 and 2017. My experience teaching interesting material and working with motivated students has made me more certain about pursuing a career in academia.
Middle school science camp workshops
Through my membership in the Integrated Graduate Program in Physical and Engineering Biology (PEB) I became engaged in teaching middle school students about science as part of their summer camp. In 2015 and 2016 I led them through hands on activities in order to learn about diffusion and chromatography.
Splash at Yale
In 2016 I taught an interactive Splash class titled "The Physics of Protein Folding" to middle and high school students. The class was enrolled to capacity (~30 students)! I was impressed and excited by the curiousity the students brought with them to the class. I also previously taught an interactive workshop about word making strategies in Scrabble and Bananagrams during MIT Splash (circa 2010).
