I started skating when I was five, after watching an event on TV. Right away I enjoyed the feeling of gliding, jumping, and spinning. For much of my early life, skating provided stucture and daily challenge.
Over the years I have skated in many benefit shows, supporting causes including the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the Jimmy Fund, Our Place, Relay for Life, and autism and leukemia research.
I qualified for my first Junior Nationals at the Juvenile level in 2002 and went on to win two National medals and place 6th in my Senior debut in 2009. I have been privileged enough to represent Team USA at many international competitions between 2006 and 2009. I earned two medals on the Junior Grand Prix circuit and skated my way to 5th place finishes at the 2007 Junior Grand Prix Final and 2009 World Junior Championships.
